As everyone is aware, management is in place to make decisions during normal business hours Monday through Friday. During second and third shifts, some of this responsibility falls upon our dispatchers. Mike and Steve would like to award one of these dispatchers who is versatile, accommodating, and goes above and beyond.
Eric Ellis was hired as a dispatcher in September of 2017. Since this time, Eric has gone above and beyond in many different aspects of the job. He is as dedicated and versatile as they come. Whenever a member of the dispatch staff has an unforeseen issue pop up, Eric never shies away from covering a different shift no matter the time of day or day of the week. Whatever the challenge at hand is, Eric never loses his composure and comes up with a safe and effective resolution in a timely matter.
As a dispatcher, Eric has many different responsibilities that he excels in. He always ensures that drivers dispatch on time with all the necessary resources and information needed for their route. He is great at communicating to customers when a route is running late and letting them know of a new ETA. Eric always arrives to work early and checks in with us to get an overview of the night ahead and formulates a game plan to combat any challenges that may arise throughout his shift. Whether it is with management, sales, or the drivers, Eric is an excellent communicator and always follows through with distributing information as needed.
Eric possesses every characteristic one would want in a colleague. He is always willing to help out when needed and has perfect attendance. He always has a positive attitude and is a tremendous advocate of our company both in the office and out in the community. For all these reasons and many more, we are proud to award Eric Ellis as our Employee of the Month!
